Polarity Therapy Training

Become an Apprentice in the Art of Healing

True health is the harmony of life within us.
— Dr. Randolph Stone, founder of Polarity Therapy

What Is Polarity Therapy?

Polarity Therapy is a gentle hands-on healing approach that blends touch, movement, and simple lifestyle guidance to help restore balance in the body, mind, and emotions. Rooted in the idea that energy flows through us and can become stuck or depleted from stress, trauma, illness, or injury, sessions use light touch and verbal engagement to encourage flow, free up tension, and work with patterns in the body-mind system. Clients often report feeling calmer, enlivened, and more connected to themselves, with a sense of inner guidance that leads in the direction of greater well-being. Over time the practice can be an aid to personal transformation.

Why Train Here

Students develop practical skill through hands-on work, mentorship, and guided clinical training. The teaching staff brings decades of clinical experience to both online and in-person learning.

Lineage & Evolution

The curriculumdeeply honors the teachings of the practice’s founder, Dr. Randolph Stone, while integrating modern insights from trauma healing, contemporary energy medicine.

Mentorship & Community

Students are guided through an apprenticeship-style learning environment where individual development is supported within a strong cohort community.

I’m so grateful that I found this training! The course is organized, well-paced, and a balanced blend of content, discussion, and experiential work. The classes are personal and interactive, while also providing great flexibility and convenience for distance learning.
— Kieran, Board Certified Polarity Practitioner

Who This Training is For:

Students come from many backgrounds including psychotherapists, bodyworkers, healthcare providers, yoga teachers, artists, and individuals exploring a new direction. They share a commitment to personal growth, self-awareness, along with a desire to support healing in others in a creative and holistic manner.

If I could, I would post 10 stars for this amazing program! Brian is an exceptional teacher an gifted healer. I learned so much in one year, I was able to open my own successful healing practice. The convenience of online classes and the in-person practicums I found so helpful.
— Deanna, Associate Polarity Practitioner

The Training Path

This training is offered as a modular course of study. Although there are exceptions, the training is primarily a continuing education model aimed at persons already in some healthcare or helping profession and looking to deepen their work through an understanding of life energy.

Participants enroll in one module at a time and progress sequentially. The training, delivered through individual modules, satisfies education requirements for those interested in pursuing credentials through the International Polarity Education Alliance (IPEA) and the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA).

In addition to prerecorded and live online classes, there are four required 5-day seminars in San Francisco (Modules 1, 3, 4, and 6). Students typically attend two practicums per year, which are often the highlight of the training.

A Non‑Certification option allows all-video study, with no travel required, but does meet the requirements for APTA/IPEA credentials.

Level 1 — Foundations, Entry Level Practice (Modules 1-3, 250 hours)

Covers Polarity Therapy fundamentals, energy awareness, and basic touch techniques. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion which satisfies the education requirement to apply for associate-level credentials through IPEA or APTA. You may take a break between Levels 1 & 2 if you wish.

Level 2 — Clinical Practice (Modules 4-6, 500 hours total, including Level 1)

Training covers advanced assessment, practitioner presence, communication, and clinical skills. Completion of this level satisfies the education requirements to apply for the Polarity Therapy Professional (PTP) credential from IPEA. This level is a common point of entry into practice, depending on local regulations.

Continuing Education

Level 3 — Advanced Clinical Training

For those wishing to go further, students may pursue advanced study in:

  • Craniosacral Biodynamics

  • Biofield Trauma Care — energy-based work with patterns shaped by complex trauma

  • Additional Clinical Supervision and Support

  • Other specialty electives and independent studies

At 675 hours graduates meet the education requirements to apply for Registered Polarity Practitioner (RPP) status through APTA. At 800 hours, they may apply for Board Certified Polarity Practitioner status, subject to APTA’s examination process and current standards.
